Full Support for My Kid's Hobby

My first born is now  into learning guitar, and she loves the idea of performing for other people while playing guitar. Good thing I was able to buy her a beginner's acoustic guitar for her to use as she learns things about guitar playing.

Now if you are interested in learning how to play the guitar then the first thing you will need to buy is a guitar. Most people start with an acoustic and graduate to the electric guitar. It is quite difficult for anyone to choose the right electric guitar since there are hundreds of models and several brands out there in the market. If you are buying an electric guitar then you will need to also buy amplifiers, good guitar amps,  pick-ups, pick, tuner etc.

Electric guitars are available in a lot of variety, colors, and designs with the aerodynamic designs being one of the most popular. Don’t go for the first electric guitar you see. You need to look around a bit and check out the prices and models before you buy one. In fact, one of the best ways to choose a guitar is by the brand or by the style.

Bella Vita, El Nido

Found this small resto at Corong-corong when we did a wedding coverage. It was just a small establishment, made of bamboos and light materials.

Was intrigued with their menu, for they served a variety of pizza flavors.. So my friends and I decided to give it a try.

I love the idea of simplicity when it comes to their designs and furnishings. SO homey and cozy. Specially, when it's sun down time.. :) You just have to love the scenery.

Surprisingly, the prices of their meals/food are somehow affordable for local tourist on a budget like me. :)

So, we tried their Hawaiian Pizza. Which was served in thin crust.

And we also tried their Mediterranean Salad! :D

Buying Second Hand Guitars

If you are a guitarist, you will occasionally need to replace your gear. If this isn't the case, perhaps you're interested in learning the guitar. Regardless, this can end up costing you a good deal of money unless you buy smart. In this case, you should consider two options instead of buying brand new instruments and gear. Firstly, you can buy products online. Secondly, you can buy used products. Both are great options. If you buy a used guitar like gibson sg bass or used amplifier online, you get the best of both worlds.

Buying used guitars online can be a challenge, but generally, it's fairly easy to spot a good deal. You can end up getting a huge discount on your musical merchandise. Buying online saves you money because it's extremely easy to find deals and compare guitar retailers. You have better selection, more choices, and more convinced when shopping for guitars for sale. Moreover, buying a used guitar can save you a lot of money as well. Typically, when someone sells a used guitar, they're not selling it because there's anything wrong with it. Usually, people sell their used musical products because they're either no longer interested in playing the guitar, or they wish to upgrade their own equipment. In cases such as these, you can fairly confidently assume that they're not selling a faulty product, but you also know they more likely than not need to sell it before they get their own. They no longer have a reason to keep it. Therefore, the used product is much, much cheaper than a brand new guitar, even if it's in mint condition.

When purchasing a used guitar or used guitar amplifier, make sure you check the condition of the instrument. If the buyer mentions something wrong with what you're buying, send him/her and email asking for clarification on what's wrong with the guitar you're buying. Also ask if you can return the guitar in the first week.

Hopefully the above gave you a little insight into if you want to buy used guitars or buy used amplifiers online. If you buy online and buy used, you're able to save a lot of money and get the perfect guitar for you have a enormously discounted price. Good luck!

DGianni's Cafe: Gelato Italiano

It was an instant decision bringing the kids to this popular ice cream store in the city.

The store owner is a Filipina married to an Italian, who loves to make ice creams or gelato.

They offered varieties of fruit flavored gelatos and a lot more.
My little Moirah ordered a scoop of strawberry flavored ice cream. She loved it. It has a mixed of sweet and a bit sour taste, but definitely a delicious one!
My eldest, Mikyla tried their chocolate flavor. Made with dark chocolate, hence there's a pinch of a bitter taste.

Miag-ao Church, Iloilo

An hour travel from Iloilo City, Miag-ao Church is one of those top destination in Iloilo.  Just 45 minutes drive away from Iloilo City, I took the jeepney ride, which costs me less than 100 pesos. Commuters can take a “Miagao” or any south-bound jeepney from Mohon Terminal in Molo District

The Miag-ao Church also known as the Sto. Tomas de Villanueva Parish Church is a Roman catholic church located in Miagao, Iloilo, Philippines.

It was also called the Miagao Fortress Church since it served as defensive tower of the town against Muslim raids.

The church was declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site on December 11, 1993 together with San Agustin Church in Manila; Nuestra Señora de la Asuncion Church in Santa Maria, Ilocos Sur; and San Agustin Church in Paoay, Ilocos Norte under the collective title Baroque Churches of the Philippines, a collection of four Baroque Spanish-era churches.

A little history of Miag-ao Church

Miagao was formerly a visita of Oton until 1580, Tigbauan until 1592, San Joaquin until 1703 and Guimbal until 1731. It became an independent parish of the Augustinians in 1731 under the advocacy of Saint Thomas of Villanova.

With the establishment of the parish, a church and convento was built in a land near the sea called Ubos. Father Fernando Camporredondo served as the town's first parish priest in 1734.

When the town experienced frequent Moro invasion in 1741 and 1754, the town moved to a more secure place. From there, a new church was constructed in 1787 through forced labor under the supervision of under Fray Francisco Gonzales, parish priest and Spanish gobernadorcillo Domingo Libo-on.

It was built on the highest point of the town to guard from invaders called Tacas. After ten years, the church was completed in 1797. It was designed to have thick walls to serve as protection from invaders. It was severely damaged during the Spanish revolution in 1898 but was later rebuilt, fire in 1910, the second World War and earthquake in 1948.

The present day Miagao church is the third church built since its establishment in 1731.To preserve the church, it underwent restoration in 1960 and completed in 1962. It was declared a national shrine by Presidential Decree No. 260 of former President Ferdinand Marcos.
