In a world where there seems to be more concrete than dirt, it can be rather challenging to even get out into the outdoors life. That means that you need to make the most out of what you have to play with. No matter what you enjoy doing; you can do it the best way possible when you take these tips to heart.

Your outdoors life can be one of excitement, relaxation and complete bonding with nothing other that the pure air around you. A lot of people taking part in outdoor activities do so to stay healthy since it provides a very good way of exercising.

Apart from the health point of view, people engage in outdoor activities since they relish the feeling of accomplishment after participating in one.

Outdoor activities provide the best way to escape the monotony of everyday routine life. It helps to strengthen relationship between family members and office colleagues. They are also considered as a means of socializing.

Outdoor activities are essential to lead a balanced life. By reducing stress and tension, strengthening family bonds, and bringing a sense of accomplishment, outdoor activities help to improve the overall health of a person.

Swimming is an outdoor that most of the people practiced. Some of the other popular outdoor activities include walking strongly, gardening, jogging, cycling and hiking, camping in a tent, boating, golf, and other paddle sports like canoeing, rafting and kayaking. Outdoor activities should be started when the age is young. Thus the parents have an influential role in it.

Certain factors like scarcity of time, general disinterest, lack of knowledge, high club fees and concerns about safety can stop a parent from allowing a child to participate in outdoor activities. To solve this problem, you can jut take a little walk or a bike ride. Bringing in enthusiasm in the minds of the people for outdoor activities can be a problem.

Purposefully turning off the television set, and start participating in small walks can help you start with outdoor activities. Joining an organization or organizing different activities among friends and family members also helps. If you are a Nature lover, then camping is a great way to get close to Nature.

Tips To Roll With

• Start with having the best products to take with you. Sure, you could go camping with that old tent. But, if you go camping with a new one, which is fully insulated, waterproof and even features an easy set up, there is more time to enjoy the outdoors life instead of dealing with the problems. Do this with all of your leisure products. If you plan to take it with you, make sure it is high quality. You’ll appreciate and enjoy your leisure pursuits much more if you’ve purchased the right quality.

• Be prepared. Sure, it’s the Boy Scout motto but that doesn’t mean it isn’t true. The fact is that your outdoors life can be so much better when you are sure that you have all the risks taken care of, as much as is humanely possible. Provide for all the things that you need, in good quality, and enjoy what the outdoors life has to offer you. It’s that simple.

• Take time to play. If you can’t get out to spend some quality outdoors time with your friends, make sure that you bring the fun to your home. While you can’t go hunting in your backyard, you definitely can play a sport. Make life a little more fun and a lot less stressful by enjoying the outdoors life.

• Outdoors life should be something that you look forward to. Make sure it is something that you think about by planning trips and outings into your favorite outdoors life adventures. Plan them! • Outdoors life can only be better when you do it with friends, so make sure that you spend plenty of it with them. Your outdoors life is one of many dreams and aspirations. If you plan to enjoy that life, get the best products, a few friends and head out to play. Life is so much better when you can say that you have spent a lot of time enjoying the outdoors life.

5 Super Simple Weight Loss Tips

Weight loss is one of those subjects that everyone is always talking about. It seems you can’t go anywhere without seeing or hearing some type of weight loss message. Stories of the dangers of not losing weight appear regularly on the nightly news. Retail outlets and the Internet both are full of weight loss books and products.

I have been big/huge for quite a long time after I gave birth to my first born. Since then, I've been trying hard to trim down. But with water therapy I got what I wanted. Also, with the following tips, loosing weight is just that easy.

Tip #1 – Stop Talking About Weight Loss!

All that talk about how much you want to lose weight isn’t going to make the weight come off. You’ve got to take action, starting right now. So take this simple advice: Stop moving your mouth and start moving your body! It won’t take long to begin seeing the results.

Tip #2 – Slow and Steady is Best

Slow and steady weight loss is better (and safer) than riding the dieting roller coaster. If you’re looking for long-lasting weight loss results, aim to lose an average of about two pounds each week. In order to lose weight you’ve got to consume fewer calories than you burn. As a bonus, when you combine dieting with exercise, you’ll be reducing your caloric intake and increasing your caloric burn rate at the same time.

Tip #3 – Save Your Money

Don’t spend your hard-earned money on the latest weight loss gimmicks. Pills, fad diets, hypnosis, and extreme surgical procedures are not the answer! These gimmicks won’t slim you down, but they will fatten the bank accounts of those who promote them! Eating a nutritionally-balanced diet of fruits, vegetables, good fats and lean proteins will encourage weight loss faster than any miracle cure you can buy.

Tip #4 – Weight Loss is a Way of Life

Unfortunately, the issue of weight is something that most people will struggle with throughout life. Excess processed foods and a sedentary lifestyle are the two biggest contributors to this constant struggle. If you want to lose weight and keep it off, you’ve got to change the way you think about food. It should be thought of as a source of fuel, not a passion. Successful weight loss really is about making lifestyle changes, including making the right food choices, and then sticking with those choices throughout life.

Tip #5 – Weight Loss is More Than a Number

When you’re dieting, don’t become a victim of the dreaded scale. When the numbers go down, happiness goes up. But when the numbers stay the same or go up, it is easy to give up and give in. Remember that even if your weight isn’t changing as you would like, your body is. You’ll be taking better care of your heart. You’ll be lowering your cholesterol levels. You’ll be sporting a leaner body and your clothes will begin fitting more comfortably. When you learn to find joy in these other benefits, you’ll want to keep on being a loser!

"Clean Your Plate" Is Not Always The Way To Go For Healthy Kids

According to obesity researchers, the United States obesity rate has more than doubled for preschoolers and adolescents-and more than tripled for ages 6 to 11-over the past 30 years. Obese children are at greater risk for health problems such as diabetes and heart disease, and often carry these problems into adulthood.

So, how do parents help children, and the entire family, eat healthier, both at home and away-from-home?

"Talk to your pediatrician, family doctor or registered dietitian to determine the healthiest weight goals for the entire family," said nutrition expert Jenifer Bland-Campbell, "then make a plan to tackle the issue."

She offers these tips to help parents help their families eat more healthfully:

Eat at least one meal together daily, at regular intervals to discourage snacking.

Prepare healthy dishes for the whole family, not just special foods for an overweight child.

Don't use food as a reward, comfort or punishment.

Watch portions. "Clean your plate" is not always the way to go.

Eat slowly. It takes almost 20 minutes for the brain to register that the body is full.

Encourage water or skim or 1% milk instead of high-calorie, sugary drinks.

Getting kids to eat at least five servings of vegetables and fruits each day will not be easy, but focus on the colors to make it more fun. Visit www.5aday.org for more tips.

Use low-fat or fat-free dressings, mayonnaise and dairy items at home as if they are the full-fat versions. Kids will take your cues. Ask for the same items on the side when eating away-from-home.

Take the stairs. When you go shopping, park the car farther away from the store and walk.

Limit television, video games or computer time.

Replace mayonnaise and cheese on burgers or sandwiches with catsup, mustard or barbecue sauce.

Stick with items that are baked, broiled, steamed or poached-not fried.

Ask for nutritional information when eating out.

Look beyond the children's menu, often limited to fried, high-calorie, high-fat foods. Split one healthier adult entrée between two children.

Ask for a takeout container and put some of the food in before you eat.

Ask that bread, beverages and tortilla chips be served with the meal, not beforehand.

"Parents can help children reach wellness goals by first making healthy changes at home, then teaching kids what to do away from home," said Bland-Campbell. "Healthy eating does not happen overnight, but children take cues from their parents and will learn behaviors over time."

Cohen’s Lifestyle Centre: A Celebration of Renewal

Cohen’s Lifestyle Centre celebrates the personal battles won and healthier lifestyle gained by the Cohen graduates with Re: New Me 2012.

Carrying the theme “Fit for theRed Carpet”, the event celebrates the successful transformation of the Cohen Program graduates through a fashion show and photo exhibit that showcase their new fit and slimmer bodies as well as their renewed, healthier lifestyle. Likewise, the event brings together the entire Cohen community– from graduates, non-graduates, medical professionals, and health and wellness advocates alike.

According to Barbara Young, CEO of Cohen’s Lifestyle Centre, the fashion-inspired event is dedicated to the graduates of the Cohen program. “These incredible men and women have successfully lost weight, which may be impossible to some. This achievement is worth recognizing because they not only gained confidence from having bodies worthy of being seen in the red carpet, but more importantly, they acquired new outlooks in life after overcoming their weight and health issues. This is their time to shine,” says Young.

The Cohen Program was formulated by Dr. Rami Cohen, MD, a specialist renowned for his research on hormones involved in obesity and weight loss. It is based on internationally-accepted medical research with thousands of success stories worldwide.

With the Cohen Program, Dr. Cohen personally develops individually-tailored Eating Plan. Each plan is based on a person’s unique body chemistry. This personalized eating plan is designed to trigger the body’s natural ability to shed off fat rapidly and safely and bring their hormones back in balance.

No two Eating Plans are the same. The essential formula is the specific quantity and combination of food unique to each person. And only by following the program precisely can one allow their body to correct its chemical imbalance naturally.

Another unique offer of Cohen’s Lifestyle Centre is the establishment of a Cohen Community– graduates who have successfully completed the Cohen Program and non-graduates who are still on the journey to healthier body and lifestyle. Both share a similar experience of what it feels like having gone through a challenging ordeal. Hence, they build a support system that encourages and inspires each other to persevere and stay on the program.

“Completing the Cohen program requires discipline and patience. This is why we established the Cohen Community– to provide our clients who are undergoing the program the support and encouragement from people who have gone through the same program and understand the challenges that they face,” adds Young.

Re: New Me 2012 is presented by Splenda and sponsored by Mosvit, Other sponsors include Ayala Land Premier, Lady’s Choice MayoLite, Pond’s, Pioneer Life Insurance, and Bulla Lite n’ Healthy Yogurt.
