Authentic Indian Food House in Puerto Princesa City

Biryani Rice meal -
Biryani is popular throughout the Indian subcontinent, as well as among its diaspora. It is also prepared in other regions such as parts of AfghanistanIran, and Iraq.

As my best friend and I enjoyed walking on Baywalk, we happened to pass by this small restaurant situation at the left most part of the park (if you're from Malvar). Since we've been strolling for an hour, she told me to check this out and dine in. For she's been intrigued about one of her friend posting a photo of the Biryani meal on Facebook.

The place is actually nice, alfresco despite being small. We decided to order Chicken Biryani (Php 250.00) and followed with Beef Keema Paratha.

All authentic Indian Food. It was my first time trying the Biryani, hence there's nothing to compare it with.

Served hot. Aromatic it is because of all the herbs and spices put into it. Truly a trademark of an Indian food. That chili pepper on it spiked the taste! Ginger so potent, all in all, it's really a great meal!

Next we tried the Beef Keema Paratha (Php180.00). Wheat bread filled with ground beef and some herbs and spices.. This one is somewhat like a quesadillas or panodillo, a thin bread-like with fillings.
We left the place happy and with a full tummy!

You may call/text them to have your orders delivered at your doorsteps.
Just checkout their FB page: Chohans Kebab and Biryani Food House or call them at this mobile number:  09672644357

New Hype in PPC: Max & Bunny Shop Restaurant

Friday. When I got a text message from Julie Anne, asking if I am available for some time to go out and check some new place in town.Since it was a very tiring and busy week for me, I simply said yes! Originally we just wanted coffee, but then the place offers a lot more!

Max and Bunny Restaurant is located at Lanzanas Road, San Pedro Puerto Princesa City. Just beside Rubydina's Pension House ( a few meters from the Back of One Asenso Place).

It has a nice pergola at the backyard, with cages for the rabbits/bunnies they're selling. A great place to have a cup of coffee while reading a book or chit-chatting with friends. (Just have a mosquito repellent with you when you stay by this area on a late afternoon, for your own protection).

Cute lavatory area just by the entrance of the restaurant, a must for the pandemic. At the door, they also have thermal scanner and alcohol sprayer.

I particularly love the interiors and the furniture! Giving you a classical vibe, as if you're living at a Roman Times era! The chairs are so classy and looks fabulous!

They have these small area with some stuffs for sale. Some are LOCAL products and a few imported goods too. They also sell wines (sold per bottle).

While waiting for friends to arrived, Cathy and I decided to order some pica-pica. Nachos and Quesadillas (beef). Prep time was a bit long, maybe because the Nachos were freshly made. We undeniably liked the sauces from nachos to the dips for quesadillas!

As the other two arrived, we decided to order one viand and a pizza. For we're all trying to lose some weight or to that extent! Hahaha

Tika Masala good for 2-3 person, Max & Bunny's Original recipe - chicken meat cooked with tomatoes (with generous paste I think)  and herbs and spices! A delish one for us! The tomato based soup/sauce for this one is really powerful and is good for pita bread as dip! haha

Pizza was of that "Meat Lover" flavor. You have to option of upgrading the end crust to have cheese on it for an added amount of Php80.00.

Took a while to be cooked because they ran out of pre-made pizza dough, so they made a fresh one for us!

Flerida asked for hot coffee and the rest of us had Hot Sweet Honey Lemon as our last minute order drinks. They also have beers.

You'll notice the classy dining wares and utensils were being used, the staff informed us that these are all collections of the couple owner, which were all bought abroad during their trips/travels, hence the aesthetics.

We all enjoyed the meal we had, and the chit chats! We were glad that despite the semi-long waiting of our food, we were attended well by their waiters/staff. We also liked the idea of having bunnies around the resto, running, playing around.

From L-R: Juls, Cathy, Me and Fle

Oh by the way, they are also selling bunnies/rabbits! Cheapest is Php500.00 depending on the breed, size and age!

Flaunt Your Pride with Pantene

The freedom to fully express one's identity without fear of judgement is the fruit of years of fighting for equal rights and representation, and every June, we celebrate how far we've come with LGBTQIA+ Pride month.

It takes courage to embrace your truth and tell your story to the world.

That's why it's important to put the spotlight on those who have already found the courage and confidence to flaunt their pride, so that they can inspire others to do the same — just like these strong women.

Mela’s journey to womanhood began with her hair. After years of wearing synthetic wigs or putting a bath towel over her head, she finally let her hair grow long.

“At first, I tried to joke about it, “Ma, pagbigyan mo na ako! Rocker na ako ngayon!” She shared on her Instagram post. As time went by, she realized that having straight, smooth, and jet black hair felt right.

“I was meant to rock my hair with confidence.” She found pride in her crowning glory and made sure to give it the proper care it needed.

Every time people complimented my hair, my honest, consistent, and confident reply has always been, “Alagang Pantene yan!”, Mela proudly shared in her Instagram post.

“I have always flaunted my hair with pride because [it] reflects my journey to being the free and authentic Mela that I am today.

As a proud trans woman with feminine expression, my hair has been my source of power. And that’s definitely Salontastic!”

“As a member and supporter of the LGBTQIA+ community, I, too have my own journey in raising my voice for my happiness and myself.”

Chezka shared on her Instagram. Chezka, like many others, was afraid of how her family and friends would react to her identity.  So, she joined predominantly female activities like modelling and beauty pageants as she tried to figure out how she wanted to present herself. Later on she realized that she wanted to express herself physically as a woman, “…and that’s why I started growing my long straight hair with Pantene.

Because Pantene has always been there in helping me feel stronger and Salontastic! Flaunt your #Pride with Pantene.

I’m truly thankful for my community in helping me understand them and myself. Know that you are not alone and that we are heard.”

Allies also play a role in helping make the LGBTQIA+ community a safe space by fostering a culture of acceptance and respect, and advocating for equal rights and opportunities.

Gabbi, an ally, shows her full support for the LGBTQIA+ community in her Instagram post. “I’ve always been a proud supporter ever since I was young.

I believe that everyone should be treated with love and respect. There is definitely no room for hate in this world!

Everyone can be Salontastic regardless of gender!” Let your hair take pride and flaunt it with Pantene Miracle Conditioners.

With Pantene Keratin Straight Miracle Conditioner you can help reduce frizz for that sleek, straight look.

While with Pantene Collagen Miracle Conditioner, you can turn dry, frizzy hair into shiny, Salontastic hair.

*Both conditioners are formulated with a blend of Pro-Vitamin B5, with special ingredients like Miracle Serum, real Collagen, and Keratin straighteners that moisturize hair and help strengthen hair against damage* to give you everyday #Salontastic results. Take pride in your hair and get that #SalontasticTransformation with Pantene. Explore more from Pantene’s wide range of haircare products through the P&G Shopee Mall store.

Effective Ways To Manage Money

There are many ways and tips on effective ways to manage money in general. Technically, all these tips talk about one thing: being able to have money when needed, where needed. A lack and wanting desire to acquire money when the all arises does not necessarily mean not being able to manage money effectively, but may just be an overshoot of unexpected events. Nevertheless, the person should be able to acquire and find ways to come up with the needed amount if ever there is a strapped budget from the unexpected event that needs to be complied.

Look At The Future Goals

One of the most important and progressive value of a person to have effective ways to manage money is to have a sense of foresight. This foresight pertains to the ability of a person to know what things is most probable going to happen to him in the future and be able to prepare beforehand with substantial amount of time. With this is a  responsibility of being able to properly organize the timeline and the budget allocation of funding and financial  allocation. Also in this regard, the consideration of all other fees, bills, and payment allocations would have to be
properly identified and included in the plan.

An option of having to put an allowance or extended goal would be beneficial to the planner to allow himself to adjust and be able to cope up with unexpected events with a bit more ease. In this manner, the one who manages the money is able to have an extra for a rainy season ahead.

Invest, Invest, Invest!

Another method to effectively manage money is to invest in progressive and productive endeavors which could be other sources of income. Instead of just allowing the savings to rest in a bank and earn a small amount of interest per year, it would be wise to allocate some of the money and other resources into a business. Of course it may prove  unproductive and detrimental, but the allowance of such resources to different paths of productivity would widen the scope in which a person could determine and discover the best way to manage and have more money to alleviate
the status in society.

Investing does not only mean having to go into a business venture but also in being able to become a stockholder, no matter how small into an existing business. Being a stockholder and becoming a part owner of a running business puts the self into a profit oriented state by having a percentage of the earnings that the said business generates. Nevertheless, the risk of losing the capital used for this investment is as great as having a self owned one.

The 3:3:4 Paradigm

This paradigm takes into account that all the other utilities and monthly bills have already been paid and the amount left is the extra money that is left floating. Most probably many would not be lucky enough to have this, or if possible  just with a tiny amount. Still, no matter how small the amount is, it is a good start. The 3:3:4 paradigm means that 30% of the floating money is to be saved in the bank, 30% is then used to allocate for the investments of choice, and the  remaining 40% is allocated to the leisure and luxury of the household. The last aspect is important to provide a sense of reward for the earner to clear the mind of burden and discouragement.

These aspects when combined together are more often than not effective ways to manage money and not be burdened of having to earn money to pay off a previous debt. This would be helpful to the earner to look forward in a progressive pace of living rather than retroactive maintenance.

Coffee Facts

A good cup of coffee is like fine wine and good quality cigars. There are various different types of coffee beans and these determine the flavors that the blend presents for the coffee connoisseur.

Many coffee makers blend a combination of the lower cost Robusta beans with the more expensive Arabica gourmet beans. The Arabica beans have a finer aroma, a richer flavor and more body than the less expensive beans.

The quality of the coffee is dependant on the proportions of the mix of these beans. Quite often a coffee might be advertised as a blend of gourmet beans and lower grade beans when in fact there are only small traces of the gourmet beans in the blend.

The gourmet beans gain much of their flavor from the soils they are grown in, with the best beans coming from the volcanic regions where the rich soils produce the best tasting beans.

Coffee should always be made from fresh beans as the quality diminishes rapidly with age. This is quite noticeable when comparing a supermarket grade coffee with a coffee made from freshly ground beans at a coffee shop. Bear in mind that the supermarket coffees generally have a lower blend quality and in many cases the blends also have a proportion of older beans to reduce the production costs.

The only way you can be assured of quality and taste is to buy fresh gourmet quality. Once you have acquired the taste for gourmet coffee you might never want to drink commercial grade coffee again.

You can buy coffee from many different regions throughout the world and each one has it’s own unique flavor.

Coffee aficionados can pick the region where the coffee bean was grown just by tasting it. The method of processing the beans also has an effect on the final flavor so you can’t always assume that a coffee will be good just because it came from a particular region.

Coffee is one of the world’s most popular beverages and more suppliers are catering to the needs of an ever-growing demand.

Up Your Family’s Blood Health and Immunity with These 3 Summertime Activities

The sun is out, and the school break is here, which means that it’s finally the season for family vacations and beach trips. But since the current situation calls for more family time spent at home, the young and active kids might have to spend their extra time getting busy on activities within the confines of your household. And while this calls for activities that require participation and creativity of the adults, the scorching heat presents a significant barrier to stay active.

Low intensity physical activities like long walks are much more convenient but having to spend hours outside these days isn’t the most ideal either. However, physical activity is an important part of building up one’s health, as it can help reduce stress, improve sleep quality, strengthen immunity, and improve blood health. It’s never too late to keep your family moving.

Here are 3 fun activities you and your family can bond over at home despite the dry season.

1.  Explore Virtual Fun Run
Events Running and building up your cardio doesn’t always require exploration of the outside world. Since the shift to a new normal lifestyle, brands and events that previously held fun run events have adapted to a safer alternative of previous marathons that were held outside. Now, you can register your whole family for virtual races, choose an appropriate distance everyone is able to accomplish, and flash a video on screen while running in place or around your home. Not only is this exciting but it also helps keep everyone in the family active. And the best part is everyone gets rewarded with a medal for finishing the race!

2.  Groove and Move with a Dance Party
Running around in one place might not be as enjoyable for everyone in the family. If that’s the case, a dance party is also a great way to have the family bond in movement, learning, and connection, while doing physical activity. Music can make any age naturally move and groove to the beat. Just set a playlist of at least an hour with different genres of music that all ages of the family can enjoy, set the lighting according to the mood and get the dance party started, any time of the day! You can also upgrade the dance party by incorporating a theme where you dress up, use props like glowsticks, ribbons, face paint, and color-changing LED lights. The creative possibilities are endless to keep your loved ones active for a boosted immunity and healthy blood.

3.   Peaceful Staycation at Home
Relaxation also strengthens our health just as much as rigorous physical activity. Stress can weaken the body’s immune system leading to people getting sick at stressful and unsure times. While a dance party and an at-home marathon might seem enjoyable to some, for families who prefer activities that don’t require feeling exhausted, or loved ones who have conditions that prevent them to dance or run; a peaceful staycation at home can still help boost their immunity and keep their blood healthy.

A staycation at home can start off with a nutritious breakfast meal with fruits and vegetables, and relaxing music playing in the background. While others prepare for the next meal, the children can be entertained with a short animation film or through a book reading session. Lunch can be setup as a picnic on your backyard, veranda, or terrace. Taking a siesta can help refresh the mind as well. After dinner, a soothing bath can cap off the whole day of relaxation at home.

These 3 summertime activities may help your family moving while reducing stress and building their immunity during the dry season. Yet with age and lifestyle differences of your loved ones, some may need external help to keep their blood healthy that physical activities and relaxation may not be able to provide sufficiently.

Multivitamins + Minerals (Sangobion IRON+) is Your Family’s Blood Health Ally

Multivitamins + Minerals (Sangobion IRON+) is an iron supplement with vitamins and minerals that helps to replenish iron stores and increases red blood cell levels in the body. It has ferrous gluconate, a type of iron salt which allows better absorption of iron in the body, Folic acid, and vitamin B12 which are vital for production of red blood cells and during pregnancy. It also contains Vitamin C which helps improve iron absorption, and Copper sulphate and manganese sulphate that helps in the metabolic processes of blood cell production.

Recommended intake is one to two capsules daily, during or after meals, or as prescribed by your doctor.

Multivitamins + Minerals (Sangobion IRON+) helps to treat iron deficiency anemia that can lead to weakened immunity and increased susceptibility to infection. Iron deficiency anemia happens when the blood has a lower amount of red blood cells or hemoglobin than normal. This can cause the body to feel weak, tired, dizzy, look pale, and experience headaches.

This year’s summertime activities with the family may be spent at home but the situation can’t stop the fun and relaxation. With a nutritious diet, physical activity, proper sleep, and by taking Multivitamins + Minerals (Sangobion IRON+), you and your family can stay blood healthy all throughout the different Philippine seasons.
